I really like this product. I used it to control the bathroom fan.

My advise is to make sure that the hot lead is connected to the correct wire.

In my case it was a 50/50 chance of getting it correct.

Also note: That 110v is required for the switch to operate. Some boxes may not have 110 available.

First off, this timer works very well. The only thing I have problem with, is it is a little bit lighter in color than the almond switch plate I have. As mentioned you will need a neutral to connect this. The unit fits quite nicely in a standard outlet box, but don't try to put it into a shallow box.

When I first got this item it looked as if it had been opened. Upon installing it it worked fine so I just cleaned it up and ignored it but 3weeks after installing it, it no longer last 30 minutes it last about 10 seconds set on 30 and about a second or two set on 5. The product is junk and does not do what it is supposed to. Normally i receive good stuff from Amazon so not sure what the deal is there but the product is obviously a dud and I will not be getting any other products from Woods.

Device is simple and worked as expected. Directions though not need by me were clearly written.
Light Almond is a fair discription of the color and suggest people wait to order cover plates so that you can compare possibilities in a local store. I feel that it matches older almond from many years ago (60's). It seems to match "Cooper Wiring Devices" decora GFCI outlets almond color but may be a bit lighter.

Like the other reviewers have said, it works well but doesn't fit flush with the wall plate. The unit itself looks well made and was pretty easy to install. The main problem I had with installing it was the depth of the unit. Make sure there is enough space within the junction box to fit it. I had to trim the wires and do some wire tetris to get this thing to fit.

I've also noticed that the unit stays warm even when not in use. It would be nice to know how much energy this itself uses in the specs since I wanted this to save energy.

Works well and as advertised. The minute-counter LEDs are green and the Off LED is red. I like that it does work properly with CFL bulbs. I advise looking into your lightswitch box beforehand to ensure that ALL the proper wiring runs into the box, as electrical code either allows or used to allow running some wire through the lightswitch box to the load, but then back to the circuit instead of running back through the box again.

It is interesting how different countries handle bathroom fans and timers. In the UK, (England), the code is that bathroom fans be installed with a "run on" timer.
Instead of a manual timer, like the US tends to use, the UK mandates that the bathroom fan comes on with the bathroom light, and stays on or "runs on" for some minutes after the light is turned off. Usually this timer is built into the fan itself. If you look at amazon.com.uk and do a search for bathroom fan, you will see what I mean. Since the UK uses 220v power, those fans cannot be used in the US. I have searched, and do not see models made for or usable in the US.
